The Capital Alumni Network (CAN) basketball games are played on weekdays in greater Alexandria (John Adams Elementary School) and are typically played between 7:15pm - 9:15pm. The league consists of 30 teams from various alumni organizations with each team playing 8 regular season games. The season concludes with a single-elimination tournament in March. Game play is 5-on-5 with 3 males and 2 females (minimum) on the court. Reffing is conducted by an outside agency (City of Alexandria) and is included in the season fees. Scorekeeping responsibilities are done by each team as a requirement. The league rules can also be found on the CAN website.
