About Our Scholarships
Each Spring, we accept hundreds of applications from graduating high school students from the National Capital Region and graduate students who are enrolled at the Northern Virginia Center. We have provided over $150,000 in scholarships in the last decade alone.
2010-11: 5 @ $5,000 - $25,000
2009-10: 6 @ $4,000 - $24,000
2008-09: 6 @ $3,000 - $18,000
2007-08: 5 @ $2,000 - $10,000
2006-07: 5 @ $2,000 - $10,000
2005-06: 6 @ $2,000 - $12,000
2004-05: 7 @ $2,000 - $14,000
2003-04: 5 @ $2,000 - $10,000
2002-03: 5 @ $2,000 - $10,000
In 2007, we also added an additional $40,000 to our scholarship endowment.
How to Apply or for More Information
High School Senior Applicants
In order to be eligible for one of our merit-based scholarships, students must be a senior graduating from a high school in the counties of Fairfax or Arlington, VA or Prince George's or Montgomery, MD; the cities of Fairfax, Falls Church, or Alexandria, VA or Washington, DC. Candidates must meet the requirements specified in the letter below. Because of the large number of applicants, we regretfully cannot make exceptions to this policy.

Graduate School Applicants
For our Graduate School Scholarships, students must be taking classes in Northern, Virginia, and not at the Blacksburg campus. Candidates must meet the requirements specified in the letter below. Because of the large number of applicants, we regretfully cannot make exceptions to this policy.
